Before an evening we will discuss your tastes and thoughts so we can tailor the evening accordingly.
Structure
I will give a brief introduction to how the evening works followed by a an overview of the theme for the evening. We’ll taste each wine, asking “What do you see, smell and taste?” offering some structure to how these questions can be explored and enjoyed. This will be followed by a simple polling system to help us work out the favourite wine of the evening.
In Person
I’ll arrive roughly half an hour before the beginning of the session to set up, bringing everything you need including tasting glasses and all the wines. Information about all the wines is included.
Over Zoom
There are two options for delivering the wine:
If you don’t live close to LE17 then postage costs £7.50pp and taster bottles will be delivered to your home by Tracked Royal Mail.
Alternatively, many groups decide to deliver the wines themselves, using measures and instructions provided by me, into glasses left on the doorstep at agreed times – it’s easier than it sounds!
On Zoom, we will use breakout rooms to help discussions.
Timings
The evenings last between 1.5 and 2 hours.
